Where do we get our schedules?
Schedules will be posted on the Internet on August 7, 2009.
Also, you will receive your schedules when you pick up your
information packets at the Abington Heights Field House the
morning of the tournament.
Will there be referees on the fields?
There will be a referee assigned to every game.
How many games do we play?
Each team plays at least three games and playoffs or four
game pool play.
What if someone is registered and can’t play?
A team can substitute with a different person, but only
before they play their first game. Once a team plays a game
their roster is set no changes can be made.
Is there a parking fee?
No.
Are there concessions?
Yes, there will be food and beverage concessions running all
day, both days. And participants can bring picnic lunches.
Can we check our schedules prior to the start of the
tournament?
Yes, they will be posted online the Friday before the
tournament.
What if there is bad weather?
Our first plan is to reschedule to August 9, 2008, but
other potential options depending on when bad weather
conditions may result include: Delay of games, reduce number
of points to win, move to an indoor site, or canceling the
tournament. In the unlikely event of cancellation of the
tournament due to bad weather conditions, each team will
receive their player T-shirts and team registration packet.
Under no circumstances will your team receive a full cash
refund of the entry fee.
Are there awards?
Yes, there will be medals for 1st and 2nd place for each
division.
Are there different ability levels at each age group?
We are planning for recreational and competitive divisions
at all age groups, but we expect that some recreational
divisions will need to be combinations of ages or need to be
mixed in with competitive teams. Every team that is in that
situation will know several days ahead and will be included
in the decision for their team's placement.
Where is Clarks Summit?
The Abington Heights High School in Clarks Summit is in
Northeastern Pennsylvania. The school address is 200 Noble
Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411 for MapQuest purposes. Clarks
Summit is the last exit on the Northeast Extension of the PA
Turnpike. The trip from the Philadelphia is approximately
2-2.5 hours.
Does everyone have to wear the same jersey?
Yes, teams need to wear a common shirt. It does not need to
be a formal uniform.
When is the payment due?
Your payment is due when you register.
How long is the tournament?
This is a one day event with morning sessions for younger
age groups and afternoon for the older age groups as a
general rule. Our enrollment will dictate how the division
will be done.
Can you request a later start if you are travelling from
outside the NEPA area?
The scheduling committee will generally put younger players
in the morning session and older players in the afternoon
session. If you are requesting special arrangements the
committee will make every effort to help, but can not
guarantee time placement.
